A Winning Weekend

After watching Alabama destroy Michigan, we celebrated Sophie's
new found joy of performing hand stands (gotta be good for upper arm strength)

Chef Hannah's sandwiches were a hit!

Noah is prepared to score seven goals in a row.

Samuel says the big winner is "Monkey Preschool Lunchbox"
(app of the year according to all two year olds in my house)

Finally, we celebrated labor day with our mystery friends, with delicious grilled fish, hot dogs,
slaw, broccoli salad, potato salad, pasta salad, beans, and coney sauce. But the best was kept
for last, a massive apple cobbler with ice cream on top. Yummy!

A Vast Throng Gathered

People came from miles around to get a taste of Delaney's delicious lemonade.
Hopefully, she raised plenty of money to help children who need a miracle.

Cool and Refreshing!

We had a great time at Delaney's LemonAod stand at the corner of Venus and Mars.
Delaney was a gracious hostess and her lemonade was cold and delicious!

There was even a table set up behind the food and drinks where folks could
write a note to Susan or sign a huge card for Jacob in Minnesota.

Beat the Heat, Help the Kids

Delaney Schmutte, saint (sanctified* for lemonAID)
Delaney is a friend of Lucy and Annabelle from gymnastics.
Every year she has a lemonAID stand to raise money for sick children.
This year she is dedicating her efforts to Jacob, and that makes us smile.
I know it's hot and I know you're thirsty, so you are without excuse!
Plus, who doesn't want to navigate their vehicle past the corner of Venus and Mars!

*from Latin, sanctus, set apart for a purpose (if you take two slices of bread out to make a sandwich, they are sanctified; when you finally realize God has set you apart for His purpose, you are a saint)
